Welcome to my Web Page, this web page is my
attempt at trying to organize and display many of my photographs, trips, current happenings, and memories. Doing this
ultimately forces me to organize digital pictures and write about trips, life, etc (so years down the road I can laugh and reminisce at it all!). This site is primarily designed for family members and friends,
and provides an interesting
project for me. My name is Jeffrey Sierra Schively; I am a Biologist for an environmental consulting firm
in Anchorage, Alaska. I've spent the better part of my life in Arizona growing up on a
remote 40-acre ranch outside of Flagstaff. In early 2000, my wife, Stephanie, two dogs, cat, and I packed everything up and made the long journey to Alaska. We are loving it and have been here ever since. Currently we live in a small, old (built in 1954) house in the big city of Anchorage. We also have property north of Anchorage near Palmer Hay Flats State Game Refuge with a 30-foot diameter yurt on it.
As much as we can outside of work (my wife also works full time as a cultural anthropologist) we enjoy river rafting, hiking, climbing, backpacking, kayaking, traveling,
cross-country and backcountry skiing. I ultimately plan to update and add pictures to my website of these various
activities over time.
Also included in my website will be a conglomeration of Alaska pictures and stories, photos of pets, family
pictures, work stuff, and anything else I find interesting enough to create a page or two for. This page is currently an
"in-progress" page and I will be working on it every chance I can get...
