Some of the most recent stuff was a trip to Alaska to visit my brother, Jeff, for a month. While there we went all over the place. Well, here's a few pictures:
We went to Homer, Alaska-- a very pretty place. It's famous for the Spit: a deposit formation that allows a thin strip of land to extend out into the bay. We camped out on the Spit and saw sea otters, sea lions, seals, bald eagles, and a gorgeous sunset.

We also went to Seward, on the other side of the Kenai Peninsula. Here, we went to the Sea Life Center. I finally saw a puffin-- those little birds have class. We also went sea kayaking in Resurrection Bay. And in the harbor, we almost had to give a huge sea lion the heimlich as he choked on a huge chunk of fish.

We also ran a few of those icy, northern rivers. The Eagle River (which runs through Eagle), the Campbell (which runs through Anchorage), and the Matanuska. Big rapids, big water, big fun. Here's Stephanie rowing on the Matanuska.

And how could one go to Alaska and not see "The Great One" -- old Denali itself? It was a clear day, oddly enough, and that sucker stood out like... like... like a really huge mountain in the middle of nowhere. That thing is so huge I can't even describe it properly. It's something you have to see for yourself. Oh, yeah, the two bozos standing there are me and my brother.

The landscape in the general area of Denali is killer, as well. We camped along the Denali Highway. The place was full of rolling hills, huge mountains, meadows full of blueberries, and night skies full of Aurora Borealis. We weren't mauled by grizzlies, but it was fun anyway...
